About project
This project, creating imagery for a 2024 calendar for a Ukrainian agricultural company, was fascinating from start to finish. The lengthy preparation, the shoot itself, and the retouching process all presented unique challenges.
Even the preparation phase was unusual. We couldn't find any reference images that matched our vision. We had to get creative and rely on our past experience – you can check out our previous project with seeds for an idea of our style :)
Agronomists spent weeks carefully germinating the seeds, and we hand-picked the most visually interesting sprouts after photographing them at various growth stages. Collaborating with the agency we selected best with the most compelling shapes and vibrant greenery.
For the final shoot, we photographed the plants in different shooting days, capturing them at the perfect moment – when the greenery had emerged but the seed was still visible. It was also crucial to ensure the root system wasn't overly developed to save visual balance.

In post-production, we seamlessly blended the plant images with a studio-shot background.
The final result is truly unique. We hope you will enjoy it too.
